I sell pashminas online.  I get a fair amount of orders and I’m down the post office everyday sending out my deliveries to various customers.  Sometimes I get emails from customers thanking me for the pashmina, and I’m really pleased to get that kind of feedback and I thank them.

But one customer wrote to me. I mean, WROTE to me by handwritten letter.  It was well written – no doubt they used a mont blanc fountain pen or something.  But I was so pleased and a little touched to get such a considerate reply.  And I wrote back to them too, thanking them. Such simple gestures go a long way in our “no time to do anything considerate” modern world.
