I’m a huge fan of Salvador Dali which is why I picked one of the Costa Brava hotels for my long weekend in the north east of Spain. I took the day excursion to visit the Dali museum in Figueres and was wowed by everything I saw. I went on my own but this wasn’t a problem as there were lots of other art enthusiasts to talk to. I made sure that I also made the most of the weather as this part of Spain enjoys sunshine pretty much all year round and I took a walk into the local town, down narrow streets and cobbled squares – it was so charming! I would recommend it to anyone as a lovely spot for a long weekend.
