Living in a remote part of Alaska, I was not able to receive any type of internet service at all except through a dial up provider.  Even then, our phone services are shaky at best sometimes considering the weather and the proximity of where I live.  So, I lacked access to a major part of telecommunications in this day and age.  Thankfully, I was recently able to obtain rural satellite internet service and what a difference it has made in my life!  I have connectivity to places I could never access before and at a speed I would not have imagined.  Life is a bit brighter now!
