Proper Jewelry Care Techniques
January 17, 2010 4:31 am ReferenceWhile all jewelry requires proper and careful handling, the special items created by the designers and artisans with the John Hardy collection should be given extreme care for the optimum appearance. They should only be put on after all make-up, perfume and other chemical based items have been applied that my cause corrosion. The jewelry should always be taken off promptly after wearing and stored in a jewelry box to avoid scratching to the precious metals. Silver or gold items may be washed with warm water and a gentle detergent, but leather and pearls should never be laundered. Be sure to use the utmost caution and care when putting on and taking off all jewelry pieces as some can lose their shape and become weak from too much handling.
