Should American Workers Learn Spanish
July 19, 2010 7:52 am Reference and EducationThe Spanish population is rapidly increasing in America. Businesses need employees who speak Spanish to deal with these consumers. The Facts are that some businesses are encouraging employees to learn Spanish. Others simply hire bi-lingual employers. Americans who know Spanish will likely be hired over another who doesn’t. Worldwide, the facts show that Spanish is also one of the top 4 languages. But is it fair to ask Americans to learn Spanish when many Spanish consumers refuse to learn English? Facts show them some Hispanics have been here for years without even trying to learn English. This is not good for the country because it leads to poverty, illiteracy, menial jobs, and even crime. If Americans learn Spanish, those people will not have a reason to learn English. These Facts are very discouraging.
