My husband Theodore and his sister Jessamine are currently in Spain and having some difficulties with the local language. They have enrolled in two spanish courses in spain in order to understand the local’s dialect better. Both my husband and his sister know Spanish, but it is more the Mexican dialect and this is what is causing them some problems understanding basic sentence structure. They also said some of the words are just pronounced differently in Spain and mean something entirely different, so they are having to take a crash course. They love the area, but wished they would have taken the courses before actually arriving.
