Forecasters are saying that the coldest stretch of weather in years if not decades could be heading for North Carolina.  While temps may not fall to record lows, the National Weather Service explains that the duration of the cold weather is particularly unusual. Highs probably won’t even rise above freezing over the next week or two, which hasn’t been experienced in that part of the country since 1977.  It’s getting harder everyday to see the validity of the myth of global warming when it’s all covered with snow.  Oh well, at least they’ll have something to do with that infamous, and now disproved, hockey stick!
